Meal Programs
Upper Room Dining Hall - The Upper Room provides a free hot meal and beverages to those in need everyday from 3:30-6:-00 p.m. They are located at 1868 Broadway in Placerville. We are organizing teams of people who want to volunteer on a monthly rotation or even one time. It is a great opportunity for small groups, families, businesses or individuals to bond together while serving others.
Other ways to contribute to this ministry are:
Cash or grocery store certificates.
Donation of blankets, clean combs, razors, toilet paper, soap, lotion, toothpaste and toothbrushes, shampoo, deodorant, sandwich bags, trash bags, and grocery store plastic bags.
Regular food items needed are milk, juice, instant coffee, hot chocolate, drink mixes, creamer, large cans of fruit and vegetables, cheese, fresh fruits and peanut butter.
Power House Ministries - Serving families and individuals in crisis with love and mercy to meet their physical, emotional, educational, social and spiritual needs. Power House also provides shelter and case management for Folsom's homeless community. Power House Ministries has a need for people to bring dinner meals to the residents they are housing at their Folsom Transition Center. Typically a meal that would feed 10 people is needed. Meals are served at 6:00 p.m. You have the option of dropping meals off or you are welcome to eat with the families living there. They also have a BBQ on hand. This is a great opportunity for families, small groups or businesses to come together to prepare and serve meals to families in need. They are located in Folsom at 705 Wales Drive.
